A Sea of Orange at GBK: The Jak's Enthusiasm Brightens Persija's Anniversary

Dusk had barely fallen when thousands of supporters in orange jackets began streaming towards the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium. From a distance, the din of drums, whistles, and Persija's signature chants could be heard increasingly clearly. It was no ordinary match; Persija faced PSIM Yogyakarta just as the capital's pride and joy were celebrating its 97th anniversary.

An estimated 50,000 spectators filled the GBK stands. They came in groups, carrying large flags, scarves, and banners congratulating Persija on their anniversary. Despite the large number, the atmosphere remained warm and filled with positive energy. Children sat on their fathers' shoulders, teenagers posed for photos, and The Jak seniors solemnly organized the chants before kickoff.

As soon as they entered the stadium, the atmosphere transformed into a sea of orange. Cheers erupted every time the Persija players warmed up. Many supporters described today as a "special day," where their love for the club was demonstrated not only through their cheers but also through their massive attendance to watch this important match.

That night, the stadium was more than just a venue—it became a space of celebration, where hundreds of thousands of fans felt pride, hope, and memories all mingled. Persija celebrated their anniversary in the way they love best: gathering at the GBK Stadium and shouting loudly together.
